Highlights & Educational Value
- A placement test on Day 1 decides each student’s level, out of four that run from complete beginner to advanced.
- Classes in reading Chinese characters, listening and speaking, and basic Chinese, with group presentations and an assessment later in the camp.
- Lectures in English: Chinese History and Culture or Chinese Business and Economy, and Education in China.
- Time with Chinese students: an in-depth exchange in the first days, and Chinese–international friendly matches later on.
- Cultural classes across the two weeks: guqin and tea art in the first block, then tai chi, calligraphy and Chinese painting.
- The certificate for this 14-day camp does not carry academic credit. The programme description also mentions intensive courses of 1 to 16 weeks that may be organised as semester credit courses; that is a separate arrangement, not this camp. For levels and credit, see Chinese Language & Culture.
